Inclusion

Inclusive marketing beyond Pride Month

· 4 min read · Johan Angel

Authentic inclusion is built in everyday decisions, not in a single campaign.

Every June, many brands update their logos and launch Pride campaigns. Audiences increasingly ask a simple question: what happens the rest of the year?

Consistency builds trust

Inclusion that appears only seasonally can feel performative. Consistent representation, respectful language and real support over time are what build credibility with LGBTQ+ customers and allies.

Where to start

  • Review your imagery and language across channels, not just campaigns
  • Make sure customer service and forms are respectful of diverse identities
  • Partner with community organizations in meaningful, long-term ways
  • Listen to LGBTQ+ employees and customers before you speak

Inclusion is a practice

The most credible brands treat inclusion as part of how they operate. It shows up in the details, and people notice.
