Busy isn't the same as effective. Here's how to tell when your marketing needs a plan, not more tactics.
Many small businesses do a lot of marketing: posts, ads, newsletters, events. Yet results remain unpredictable. Often the issue isn't effort, it's the absence of a strategy that connects every action to a business goal.
1. You can't explain who your ideal customer is
If your audience is "everyone", your message will resonate with no one in particular. Strategy starts with choosing who you serve best.
2. Every channel gets the same attention
Not every platform deserves your time. A strategy helps you focus on the channels where your customers actually make decisions.
3. You don't know what's working
Without defined goals and simple metrics, it's impossible to know what to keep, adjust or stop.
4. Your message changes depending on who writes it
Inconsistent messaging weakens trust. A clear positioning gives everyone on your team the same story to tell.
5. Growth has plateaued
When what got you here stops working, it's time to step back, diagnose and plan the next stage deliberately.
If two or more of these sound familiar, a focused strategy session is a good place to start.
